You’ve entered The Great West Run. You need to prepare for it. How?

InStep Training Groups

InStep is working with a number of local running clubs to provide training opportunities for the Great West Run.

If you’d like help and support in your preparations for the event, or if you’d just like to run with other people training towards a common goal, check out what’s available near you.

EXETER CITY FITC offer two sessions:

Monday – 6.30pm (starting on Monday 7 August)
Meeting point - Exeter City Football Club,
7.30-8.00 min/mile pace

Tuesday – 6.30pm (starting on Tuesday 8 August)
Meeting point – Exeter City Football Club
9.00-10.00 min/mile pace

SOUTH WEST ROAD RUNNERS offer Sunday morning training runs from Exeter Arena, starting on 23rd July. We have designed a programme suitable for anyone who can already run 10k, building up the distance as we get closer to race day. There will be groups running at various paces and we will have a number of qualified leaders in attendance. You don’t have to be a member of SWRR to join this group – all are welcome. We’ve partnered with Mbition the smart Adaptive Training app. It creates a CUSTOM training plan which is 100% built around your fitness, schedule and goal. It then cleverly ADAPTS as you progress to your pacing, distance and activity levels. So if you are forced to take a break through holiday, illness or injury the plan will get you back on track.
