Details

Confirmation of entry

Online Entry

If you enter online you will receive an automated email, which will confirm your entry has been accepted. The email will also give you a reference number which you should quote if you need to make any queries regarding your entry.

Paper Entry

If you would like confirmation that your entry has been accepted please include an SAE for us to confirm via post you have been accepted to the race.

Alternatively, for both forms of entry you can check your bank details to see if the entry fee has been debited. We only debit the entry fee when your entry has been successfully processed and accepted.

Race information packs

There is no need to register and pick up your number etc. We will send all entrants a race information pack, which will contain everything you need for the race e.g. number, timing chip and baggage label. Packs will be sent out a minimum of 10 days before the race.

Timing Chips

You will receive full instructions about the use of your timing chip. It must be attached to your shoe for the duration of the race. It will enable us to record exactly when you crossed the start and finish lines, and therefore calculate your accurate race time (no matter how long it took you to cross the start line after the hooter sounded).

Timing chips will only be used in the main race.

Race Number

Your number should be securely attached to the front of your vest or T-shirt, using 4 safety pins. It must not be cut or folded in any way. If you finish not wearing an official number you will not receive a medal. Do not pass your number onto anyone else, as this will lead to errors and delays in results.

Results

Results from the race will be produced as soon as possible using the information from the computer timing chips. We hope to print updated results sheets every 30 min. or so after the first runner finishes. We aim to publish a full set of results on our website by 8pm on race day and this will be published in the Express and Echo. Prizes and trophies for winners will be presented in the Exeter Arena Grandstand at approximately 11.30am. The only prizes awarded on the day will be to the First 10 Men and Women respectively.

Prizes

The following individual prizes will be posted to winners the week following the race:

First 3 Veteran Men in each 5 year age group from 40-44 up 65-96.

First 3 Veteran Women in each 5 year age groups from 30-39 up to 60-64.

The organisers may award prizes for older competitors at their discretion. If veterans finish in the top 10 they will be awarded the higher prize.

Athletic Club teams’ results will be based on the aggregate of finishing places - four to score for men and three to score for women. There will be spot prizes for some lucky runners. Vouchers will be handed out at the finishing line, and these can be exchanged for goods from the Ironbridge Runner stall trading in the Arena.

Treatment

Free treatment for aches and pains will be available at the start and finish. A contribution to charity would be welcomed.
